Progress Isn't Linear

Progress Isn't Linear ⋆

Progress Isn’t Linear project explores the interplay between memory, grief, and healing through a personal lens. It revisits activities I shared with my grandparents, now undertaken with my partner, reflecting on how love and memory bridge the gap between past and present. Black-and-white sequences represent moments of regression in the grieving process, accompanied by a jarring medical beep to create discomfort and evoke the weight of loss. In contrast, bright, oversaturated visuals depict happy memories, emphasizing the joy of sharing cherished activities with my partner. This piece serves as a document to hold onto treasured moments while navigating the complex emotions of loss and love.
