Pieces of us

Pieces of Us is a semester-long BFA project that explores grief as a nonlinear, deeply personal process. After losing my grandparents, I found that grief wasn’t just about missing people—it was about missing routines, sounds, places, and the quiet rituals of love that once filled ordinary days. This body of work reflects that experience through a digital scrapbook format, combining layered photo collage, found and childhood objects, and personal writing to mirror the fragmented, shifting nature of memory. Designed to feel both intimate and interactive, the exhibition invites viewers to reflect on their own loss and notice how memory lingers—in color, in texture, and in presence. It’s not about closure, but connection: an honoring of what’s gone and what still remains.
